Earlier today I got into an email exchange with my big sister about wine.  We always said when we resorted to talking about groceries, particularly the cuts of meat, like the rest of our Italian female counterparts that we were then deemed OLD ourselves.  So we kept reminding each other that we were discussing wine and not meat.

At lunchtime I and a work bud drove to the nearby grocery store to buy some fresh fruit for lunch and while there I ran into another Riunite wine.  I snatched it up.  Blackberry…mmmm….for $4.99 it’s worth a try.  My work bud is 4 months pregnant and so no wine for her.

On my way home from work I called my grandmother (she is the only person I know that does not own a computer and still has a rotary dial phone….I love that!).  I told her about my newfound love of a certain wine and then dropped the word “Riunite” on her. 

She responded, “oh honey that’s old news I have a bottle of Riunite Blackberry wine in my refrigerator I like to sip from.”
It was then that I told her “how ironic…I have a bottle of that very wine in my car that I bought at lunchtime today!”

She responded by saying, “Oh…well honey don’t open it in the car.”

*pause*

“Hey how’s the meat in Florida?”
