office space?
I have 2 offices where I work. Some people only have a cube. I have two spaces designated only for me. Space used to be an issue but lately..not so much. In one location I can look out the window but the location feels disconnected. I like my working space though because I have tons of room. At the other location I also have a window but it faces a very close building and only if I squint can I see a nice view of palm trees and sun.
Lately I’ve been back and forth at both locations and will visit a third location on Friday and one thing remains the same. No matter where I go in the company I like the people. I may prefer one chair over another or no lights in one location while I prefer a closed door at the other. It’s strange that I can do the same job anywhere and I could probably do it from home if they would let me work remotely. I’d be all about it. I might even take a pay cut to do that…..because my office at home? Bliss…..
How many offices do you have? Which one do you like? Why?
one office - open-plan. I love being able to interact with people and it’s not as distracting as I thought it would be when I started.
I work from home sometimes too - usually one day every couple of weeks, although it could be full-time - but I miss the interaction with people otherwise.
Just one, but thankfully it’s a real office with locking door and everything. I wish I had a window, but at least I’m not in a cube, so I won’t complain.
