cvs…you are dangerous!

Ok I ran to CVS on my lunch break because I needed new foundation.  This is what my receipt looks like more or less.

Pantene 2N1 Ice (12 ounces)                   4.00

1 Axe Drk Temptations                           3.99

1 covergirl outlast                                  7.00

I lilac purse size spray                            5.99

1 covergirl advnc                                   10.49

I sensdyne pro                                      4.99

7% tax                                                2.56

                                                         39.02

THIRTY NINE dollars???  I bought a bottle Pantene shampoo/conditioner, a can of Axe body spray for Rick (love that chocolate temptations..yum!!), one tube of Cover Girl lip tint, 1 small spray .5 fl oz tube of Demeter Lilac perfume spray (yum Demeter…always yum!), 1 bottle of covergirl advanced agining foundation (I AM NOT ADVANCED AGING…or am I?), and 1 tube of sensodyne toothpaste.  So two makeup items, 1 purse size perfume, toothpaste and sexy man spray costs $39.02.

What the hell?  Ya know….what the hell??  Do not tell me I should have bought the $10 bottle of foundation and left the store.  I already know.  *sigh*  However, I need clean hair, teeth and damn it I need to look pretty and smell pretty and my man needs to smell sexy too!!!  Gah…I need to win the lottery, no?

memories…like the corner of my “Google?”

Tonight I was playing with google map’s.  Out of curiosity I googled up our old address.  Circa April 2008.  We lived in this house for a little over a year and we loved it.  I really woulda killed to buy that house at the time.  They are now selling it for such a low low price too…..  However, I’m happy about where we are and how things worked out.  Chloe would have ruined those hardwood floors by now.

The thing is….when I googled that old address via google maps and asked for a stree view…I got this old shot…with our vehicles in the driveway. We had good memories in this house, and yet we suffered through all that infertility nightmare in that house too.  It’s now for sale for $149,900.  When we were looking to buy they were telling us “oh about $315,000.  Which is what the owner paid (property appraiser records)….but wow…half that price now that we’re all back in reality.

I still miss that jacuzzi tub however…..and we did have some really good times there.

first page typo

Today I got the funniest spam email.  The subject line read “You Type, You Get Paid”.   I think that should be an etsy poster….no???

Today I bought “Her fearul symmetry” even though I have a ton of other books I have got to read etc.  On the very first page there is a typo, “oesophagus”?  I think they meant “esophagus”.  Typo’s bother me.  On the first page?  Very sad.  This won’t ruin the book for me…however…..uh…yah.  I’m sure whoever typed it got paid..but yah….
